In a recent transition, Sean and Tracey Moore purchased the store and are excited to experience ongoing success with our loyal customer base and continued support of our community. Sean joined forces as the new owner of Lacroix Sports Ottawa in March 2011. Growing up working in the family business, along with over 12 years in the customer service industry with Hewlett Packard, has provided Sean with strong leadership qualities and a dedication to exceptional service. Sean, a Carleton University Alumni, brings knowledge to the team through years of experience in competitive sports, including hockey and fastball, as well as much success in leadership roles.
Frank was one of the original founders and owners of Lacroix Sports Ottawa and we are pleased to have his continued expertise as part of the team. Frank continues to offer his vast source of knowledge which has made Lacroix Sports Ottawa the top sporting goods retail store in Ottawa for over 25 years. Frank was the Ottawa 67’s equipment manager for over 10 years and has a Memorial Cup Championship to his credit. Frank is known as one of the very best in the city when it comes to goalie fitting, skate sharpening and repair. With his dedication to customer satisfaction and attention to detail, it is clear to see why Frank has a loyal following of customers, sports enthusiasts, associations, and leagues.
In his five years with Lacroix Sports Ottawa, Mano has broadened his knowledge with respect to the latest and safest sports equipment available, including hockey, baseball and lacrosse. Mano’s individualized, professional, and friendly approach make every shopping experience at Lacroix Sports Ottawa an enjoyable one. He has enjoyed a successful hockey career from playing for the Kanata Stallions in the CCHL to winning a championship with the Ottawa Junior Canadian’s. Mano has had hockey experiences that not many young players can achieve. Next year will be his final year in the EOJHL and he has been named captain of the 2011-2012 team. Outside of sports, Mano is in his fourth year of Math at Carleton University.
Working at Lacroix Sports Ottawa for 3 years, Tom brings his personal experiences from playing hockey to ensure you are geared up properly and ready to crash and bang in the corners to get those hard-nosed goals. Tom is currently playing in the EOJHL as the Assistant Captain for the Ottawa Junior Canadians. The team won the league championship in the 2009-2010 season. Tom also played 1 full season in the CCHL for the Ottawa Junior Senators. Besides sports, Tom is studying criminal law at Carleton University and he is aspiring to be a lawyer on the completion of his post-secondary studies.
Connor has been with the Lacroix Sports Ottawa family for 8 years. Connor played in the CCHL for the Kanata Stallions for 4 years. After his long tenure with the Stallions, Connor decided to attend Carleton University and plays hockey for the Carleton Ravens in the CIS while pursuing his education. Connor has a long line of hockey playing relatives: his father, John Barrett, who played 488 career NHL games with Detroit, Washington, finishing up with The Minnesota North Stars, and his uncle, Fred Barrett, who played 745 career NHL Games with the Minnesota North Stars and L.A Kings.
Pat has been an important member of the Lacroix Sports Ottawa team for 4 years. Growing up playing multiple sports has given Pat extensive knowledge of all the latest and safest equipment to make playing sports safer and more enjoyable. Pat’s athletic accomplishments include becoming a successful baseball player; he played high school ball for the Hillcrest Hawks who won their league, going on to compete in OFSAA. Pat started his junior hockey career by playing 1 year for the Orleans Blues & 3 years in the CCHL for the Ottawa Junior Senators. After his junior career Pat decided to attend the University of Ottawa and plays hockey for the Gee Gee’s and studies Psychology. After 2 seasons, he is now one of their top defenseman.
